5th Appellate District Courthouse -
Fresno, CA
Work began in January 2006 on the new Fifth Appellate District Courthouse
in downtown Fresno, California for the State of California. This
61,000 square foot, three story class A office structure will house ten
state Appellate Justices and a staff of over 100 personnel. Project
will be constructed of structural steel frame with Architectural Pre-cast
Concrete panels and glass curtain wall as the exterior skin.
Interior will be light gauge metal framing and gyp board for the Type V -
1 hour building. Completion will occur in mid 2007. Design by AC Martin
Partners Inc. of Los Angeles. Project cost 20 Million Dollars. |

Fresno Juvenile Justice Campus - Bid Package 1 - Fresno, CA
Work began on the first 120 acres of the total 220 acre site in August
2003. This on-site and off-site development consists of the
following: domestic and fire water Pump Station, Central Plant,
domestic and fire water storage tank, laundry, fueling station,
institutional support warehouse and service yard, public and staff parking
lots, interior circulation roadways, utility infrastructure support for
the campus, landscape and irrigation, site concrete, recreational area and
basketball courts at the detention housing building, central courtyard at
the commitment buildings plus Bid Alternate No. 2 - Thermal energy storage
tank. The architectural firm is Kaplan McLaughlin Diaz of San
Francisco, CA. The cost of the first phase is $32,126,770.

amphitheater with all sport fields and tennis courts expected at this
modern High School that sits on 58 acres with future additions currently

SIM Architects designed this 53,000 square foot elementary school for Clovis Unified School District. The school consists of 4 classroom wings, Administration / Media Center, and Multipurpose Building. The $10,700,000 project started in May of 2004 and is scheduled for completion in May of 2005. This is the 8th project we have constructed with Clovis Unified School District under the CM Multi-Prime delivery method and we are excited to bring this project to a another successful completion.

California State University, Fresno - Duncan / Ricchiutti Building Addition - Fresno, CA
The additions to the Ricchiutti Strength and Conditioning building and the Duncan Athletic building brings study facilities for the athletes, coach’s offices for football and women’s soccer as well as a lecture hall and football locker rooms. The 28,000 square foot project designed by The Taylor Group is scheduled to be completed in October 2004. Returning to the campus after many years has been a grand experience for Harris Construction. From the coaches to the construction staff it is a pleasure working for CSUF FRESNO on their new facility.

Clovis Surface Water Treatment Plant Project Phase II - Clovis, CA
The City of Clovis will complete its first project, using the CM Multi-Prime delivery method, on schedule in August of 2004. The facility will process 15 million gallons per day, serving the Clovis area and is currently processing water in the testing phase of the project. The design and engineering team of Black & Veatch completed the documents in record time to meet the City’s schedule. All of the prime contractors should be congratulated on a job well done for completing this $25,000,000 facility in only 13 months. Harris Construction extends great thanks and appreciation for all of the hard work by the City of Clovis and all of its team members.

Fugman Elementary School K-6 - Fresno, CA
This Clovis Unified school began construction in March 2003 and will complete in June 2004. The $10.5 million, 52,000 sf, 5-building complex also has an amphitheatre, running track along with all outdoor sport facilities.
Darden Architects, Inc. incorporated the hillside setting into its design in a way that has not been done on any other Clovis school while remaining within budget. We take our hats off to Clovis Unified for another fine school.

Orange Cove Middle School - Orange Cove, CA
This new middle school being built for the Kings Canyon Unified School District is due for completion in February 2004. The Architect on this $9+ million dollar project is Integrated Designs by SOMAM of Fresno, CA. This is the sister school to the TL Reed Project that was constructed simultaneously. The Gymnasium building will not only be used by the students but also by the surrounding community. This is the first structure of its kind in Orange Cove.

The six buildings, 53,100 sq. ft. school sits on 10 acres and will be completed by early June 2004 for Los Banos Unified School District. The modern design by

Thomas Law Reed Elem. School - Reedley, CA
The new elementary school designed by Integrated Design by SOMAM of Fresno, CA has been completed and the Kings Canyon Unified School District has moved in to the school. Currently, walkway canopies are being installed and will be complete by the end of July. The unique characteristics of portable classrooms and a full Gymnasium make this school a shining star in the community. This is the first school built in Reedley in over 50 years. We appreciate all of the hard work by the District and the architect to bring this project to fruition.
